July 11th Evening Post box Ride with Ray Stockall
It's probably something most of us use and never give it a second thought (less so in this modern era of email) the Post Box, at WaBAM we're always looking for interesting events for our members, within our membership we have our own Post Box guru in Ray Stockall, having spent a long and distinguished career in the Post Office, he started out delivering letters on a BSA Bantam before moving up the ranks, and now retired he spends his spare time seeking out interesting post box's, on this trusty Royal Enfield, with the help of committee member Anna Mattocks they devised an evening rideout route for our members, taking in some of the historic post box's in Wilts and Dorset, visiting post box's featuring, our late queen Elizabeth II, George VI, George V, Edward VII a gold post box in Sherborne and the oldest UK post box from 1853 a Victorian box in Holwell, Dorset. Stopping of for fish and chips mid route an enjoyable time was had by all, in fact I think we have found a new hobby for some of our members.
