January 7th Breakfast Ride to the Stables Tea Rooms, Chew Valley Lake

First, new year Rideout of 2024. as you'd expect for January it was a little cold but just above freezing and the sun was shining, so fortunately the ride could go ahead with no risk of ice. with very wet weather a few days before, the risk of flooded roads was a possibility but with a couple of dry days in between, the water had drained away, 12 riders enjoyed a route through Somerset and the Mendip Hills, approx. 90 miles round trip, with a mid ride stop for a very welcome warm up at the Stables Tea Rooms on the edge of Chew Valley Lake.
